Application of White UHMWPE Plastic film

Firstly, UPE film exhibits excellent abrasion resistance: UPE film boasts the highest abrasion resistance among plastics, surpassing even some metals. Compared to metals, it is 1/7 that of carbon steel and 1/27 that of brass. This high abrasion resistance makes it difficult to test using conventional plastic abrasion testing methods; therefore, a special mortar abrasion testing device was designed. The abrasion resistance of UPE film is directly proportional to its molecular weight; the higher the molecular weight, the better the abrasion resistance. Our company's molecular weight is 92,000,000.

Impact resistance: UPE film ranks among the top engineering plastics in impact strength. Compared to other engineering plastics, UPE film's impact strength is approximately twice that of PC, five times that of ABS, and more than ten times that of POM and PBTP. Its impact resistance is so high that it is difficult to break using conventional impact testing methods. Its impact strength increases with increasing molecular weight, reaching a maximum at 1.5 million, and then gradually decreases with further increases in molecular weight. It is worth noting that it maintains excellent impact strength even in liquid nitrogen (-195℃), a characteristic not found in other plastics. Furthermore, it exhibits higher surface hardness after repeated impacts.

Self-lubricating property: UPE film has a very low coefficient of friction (0.05~0.11), thus possessing excellent self-lubricating properties. When operating in sliding or rotating motion, it provides better lubrication than steel and brass with added lubricating oil. UPE film can withstand many different corrosive media, such as acids, alkalis, and some other organic media, within a certain temperature and concentration range.
