UPE tape
**UPE tape** (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene tape) is a functional tape made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) as the base material and coated with a special adhesive. Due to its unique material properties, it has important application value in many industrial fields.
1. Ultra-high wear resistance**
- UHMWPE's wear resistance is 7 times that of carbon steel and 4 times that of nylon, suitable for high-friction environments (such as conveyor belts, mechanical guide rail protection).
2. Extremely low friction coefficient (self-lubricating)**
- The dynamic friction coefficient is only **0.1~0.2**, close to PTFE (Teflon), which can reduce equipment operation resistance and energy consumption.
3. Strong impact resistance**
- It can absorb severe vibrations and is suitable for parts that are susceptible to impact (such as machine tool guides and vibrating screens).
Chemical properties
4. Chemical inertness**
- Resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents and greases (such as engine oil and gasoline), suitable for chemical equipment or oily environments.
5. Lightweight**
- The density is only **0.93~0.94 g/cm³**, which is lighter than metal or rubber and suitable for weight reduction scenarios.
6. Excellent low temperature resistance**
- Remains tough at **-200°C**, suitable for refrigeration equipment or extremely cold environments (such as cold chain logistics).
7. Electrical insulation**
- Volume resistivity **>10¹⁶ Ω·cm**, can be used for cable insulation or electronic component protection.
